Message from the Soap Lady I’m excited to be
coming to Northern Virginia for the first time this Fall: I’ll be in Del Ray
at the Arts on the Avenue on the first Saturday in October and then, one week
later, at the City of Fairfax Fall Festival.
I hope you’ll join us at one or both of these well-established,
popular events. I’m also happy to be returning to the Takoma Park Folk
Festival on September 12th, and the Takoma Park Street Festival on
October 3rd. Great music,
vendors and fun for the whole family! Earlier this year,
Mystic Water Soap joined the mobile electronic age with Facebook and Twitter sites. These have proven to be popular, and the most reliable way to make last minute announcements when
I’ve had to change my market schedule due to weather or other reasons. So, if you’re already using one of these
social media, why not “like” or “follow” me and keep up with my calendar? As always, feel
free to email or call me (see below) if you would like to know if I’ll be bringing a
particular product with me to your local market – or if you want to place a
special order. New products! My massage oils are now available in 4 and 8 ounce sizes. The new shampoo bars are getting good reviews: they are scented with essential oils only and contain no preservatives, SLS or SLES. To go with them are three different herbal rinses and my Lavender Rosemary Hair Oil with argan oil. And finally, a preservative free sugar scrub in a single use cube that emulsifies in the shower, turning into a lotion that moisturizes as it exfoliates. Michelle Burns, Soapmaker September 2010 |
